    The Royal Oak is a friendly, family run, award winning Inn at the heart of the peaceful Dartmoor village of South Brent. Recently transformed after a complete refurbishment the facilities now include a cosy bar, air conditioned restaurant, covered courtyard area, private function conference room and 5 luxury en-suite bedrooms.We have an ever changing selection of guest ales which compliment the regular real ales sourced from local breweries and usually hold at least two beer festivals each year. We have been in the CAMRA good beer guide for the last three years running and were awarded the South Devon CAMRA Pub of the Year in 2007. We have also just found out that we are in the good pub guide this year for the first time ever.One of the strengths of the Royal Oak is the food and Chef Proprietor Andrew has developed its justifiable reputation over the last few years with his vision of offering restaurant food at pub prices. Now with the expansion of the restaurant Simon Wardle has joined the team as the new Head Chef. His team of talented young chefs prepare all meals on the premises using only the freshest ingredients sourced locally wherever possible.We are pleased to say that we are one of only a handful of inns in the South West of England that have been awarded four stars by the English Tourist Council for our hospitality, refreshments, food and accommodation.
